SOME OF OUR STORIES: NON-PROFITS & ENTREPRENEURS

Costureras Soñadoras

Fashion Designer at JPI Designs

Costureras Soñadoras is a social project run by Juanita that aims to educate Dominican women and women of other nationalities who live in low-income communities and are victims of domestic violence, about the textile industry and self-esteem.

As an ntrepreneur and fashion designer at JPI Designs, Juanita Polanco (PR) had the opportunity to place an order of t-shirts for Civil Mafia LLC. That agreement enabled them to hire one of the women involved in Costureras Soñadoras to work with the packaging process of the t-shirts. Civil Mafia has also been part of this project by giving a workshop on Digital Marketing to entrepreneurs from the Cantera Peninsula in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

“I feel grateful to know Civil Mafia and their team. They personally inspire me to continue working for a better world.”

Lighthouse Angels, Inc.

Lighthouse Angels is a non-profit organization that serves the community of Miami Dade and Broward County since 2020, where they feed over 500 families and homeless people, provide mentorship and resources to young people at risk, as well as services for the elderly, such as computer training, arts and crafts, and nutrition, among others.

Civil Mafia donated goods and money for different events in 2022 and 2023 held by Lighthouse Angels, such as Kingdom Feast Event with food serving, the two rounds of last Christmas’ Toy Driveaway -which included toys, bicycles, clothes, and other products-, as well as other upcoming events.

Las Tunas ONG

Las Tunas ONG is a non-profit organization from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Their aim is to expand people's freedoms, to develop capacities and to build citizenship. To achieve this, they offer high-quality educational experiences to children and young people.

Civil Mafia channeled a donation for two ongoing programs carried out by Las Tunas ONG: the Educational Program to Reach Opportunities in Technology and the Youth Orchestra.

End It Soccer

Andrés Medellin, President

End It Soccer

Their mission is simple: to end human trafficking through education by creating empathy on the subject using soccer and technology as transformative forces for change.

It’s about soccer and awareness. They work towards transforming the sexist stereotypes in soccer. Their ultimate dream is to help organize and hold a coed soccer world cup, and encourage women's soccer to bring diversity and inclusion into our team and world.

“Civil Mafia Foundation helped us create professional marketing content to introduce our non-profit organization to people and assisted us in improving our website and promoting our soccer event to fight human trafficking. Their professionalism, availability, attention to detail and cheerful attitude made our experience with their organization a wonderful one. We thank them greatly for their help!”

His House Miami

His House Miami is a private non-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to restoring the lives of children from newborn to 18. Through their Foster Family Recruitment Program they provide extensive and ongoing comprehensive support services to foster families so that children may have a safe and nurturing home environment, often for the first time in their young lives. The organization was established in 2008 to care for Unaccompanied Children who left their native countries due to gang violence, homelessness, economic hardship, physical or sexual abuse, sometimes even traffic, in the hope of starting a new life in the US.

We’ve collaborated with their cause through collecting donations to refurbish the children’s home and new garden, donating mattresses and hosting arts, basketball, dance and soccer clinics for the boys and girls living there.

Hermanos de la Calle

Hermanos de la Calle is a Miami-based non-profit that works with people experiencing homelessness and newly-arrived migrant families providing food, housing, employment, legal aid, and more.

We partnered with Hyatt Regency in Coral Gables, Miami, to celebrate the Hispanic Heritage month. Together, we collected clothing and hygiene items and more for Hermanos de la Calle, and we produced a video of their mission and testimonials to present the organization during the event.

We also had the honor to meet Marta through Hermanos de la Calle. Marta is from Honduras and has recently arrived in Miami with her 3 kids, so we helped her get settled and offered her assistance with her job applications, phone bill coverage and different donations.
